Welsh Speaking Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Welsh speaking teacher to work in the Llanelli area. We work with several secondary schools in the Llanelli area, who are always in need of support from Welsh speaking teachers. We have the opportunity of full-time or part-time hours.

Welsh Speaking Teachers Must Have:

  • The ability to teach in Welsh
  • Teaching experience (primary or secondary)
  • QTS or PGCE
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • The ability to motivate and enthuse students
  • Excellent communication skills in the medium of Welsh
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

Role of a Welsh speaking teacher:

  • Planning and preparing lessons, schemes of work and assessment material
  • Teaching pupils according to their educational needs, pupils assigned to allocated classes, teaching literacy and numeracy skills as appropriate
  • Ensuring positive behaviour management in accordance with school policies
  • Contributing to departmental meetings, discussions and management systems
  • Fostering strong and positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

The successful candidate will have a starting pay of £157.66 per day. They will also have access to a number of free and discounted accredited CPD courses, such as Team Teach and a Level 2 Safeguarding qualification.

The schools we work with are happy to work with newly qualified teachers, as well as teachers who possess multiple years of experience.
