Year 2 Teaching Assistant

Smile Education are delighted to be working alongside a welcoming primary located in the Smethwick area. We are currently seeking a Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join the team from September 2024.
We are currently seeking a Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join this friendly team from September 2024 on an ongoing basis. The successful applicant will be supporting Year 2 pupils working towards standardised tests, providing intervention support to small groups and on a 1:1 basis, primarily focusing on reading and literacy.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving school, working as part of a supportive team with substantial scope to upskill and move into a HLTA position. The school is located in the Smethwick area, within proximity to West Bromwich and Handsworth. The expected salary range for this role is between £9.64 and £15.08 per hour, depending on experience.
What to expect from applicants?
We would like applicants to hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, for example supporting teaching and learning. Applicants should be confident in leading small group intervention sessions and feel comfortable in providing 1:1 academic support to key pupils.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, such as Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Available to work on a full-time basis from Monday- Friday
• Dedicated to delivering the very best to pupils through comprehensive learning support
