Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a real difference in education? Smile Education is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and dynamic primary school in Smethwick.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Year 2 teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Provide 1:1 and group support to students, particularly those needing extra assistance
- Help with classroom organisation, behaviour management, and lesson preparation
- Support the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) where necessary
- Encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to the overall development of pupils, both academically and socially
Requirements:- Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in a Year 2 setting
- A passion for education and a commitment to supporting children's learning
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential
- A current DBS check on the update service (or a willingness to apply for one)
