Job Title: Year 4 Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Location: Carlton NG4

Start Date: April 15th 2024

Duration: Maternity Cover 

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join our vibrant school community on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching, a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment, and the ability to inspire and motivate students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of Year 4 students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to students, parents, and colleagues as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and schemes of work.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and other school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably within Key Stage 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to the school community.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including SEN and EAL.
  • Evidence of continued professional development and a commitment to lifelong learning.
  • A creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
  • An understanding of current educational trends and best practices.
