Full-Time Year 4 Teaching Assistant – Primary School, Nelson (BB9)

Start Date: January 2025

Hourly rate: £12.90 - £13.55 PH (before AWR)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at a vibrant primary school in Nelson. This is a full-time position working with Year 4 students, starting in January 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons.
  • Working with small groups of children to provide focused support, ensuring all students reach their full potential.
  • Assisting with classroom management and creating an engaging learning environment.
  • Helping to plan and deliver tailored interventions for students with additional needs.
  • Providing 1:1 support for pupils as required.
  • Supporting the social and emotional development of children, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

About You:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children (preferably in a classroom setting).
  • A passion for education and helping children succeed.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patient, caring, and committed to making a difference.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) is desirable but not essential.
