The primary school is a vibrant and inclusive school situated in the heart of Blackwood, Wales. We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Year 5 Teacher to join our enthusiastic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire our students and support their educational journey.

Job responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures each student's individual abilities and potential.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to enhance the educational experience of our pupils.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Proven experience teaching at the primary level, preferably with Year 5.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
  • Ability to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment.
