Are you an enthusiastic and supportive individual looking to make a difference in the classroom? Smile Education is seeking a committed Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in Oldbury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Year 5 class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils who need additional assistance
- Help manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
- Assist in preparing lesson resources and setting up activities
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independent learning
- Work with the teaching team to ensure every child reaches their full potential
Requirements:- Experience working with children, ideally within Key Stage 2 (KS2)
- A genuine passion for education and supporting children’s learning
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable, but not essential
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
