Year 6 Class Teacher – Primary School in Chorley, Lancashire

Forward-thinking Primary School located just outside of Preston town centre.

About this role:

The Head Teacher and Governing Body of a reputable Primary School in Chorley are offering the opportunity to develop as a Year 6 Class Teacher, this is a responsible role supporting the teaching and learning across Year 6 and the wider school as well as the development of the school working closely with the Senior Leadership Team. The class teacher will play a key role, alongside the Senior Leadership Team, to further strengthen the quality of education across the school. This exciting opportunity will require the successful candidate to support coaching Early Career Teachers and trainee teachers as well as the wider Year 6 curriculum. You will be required to supervise the end-of-year Y6 residential trip.

The Head Teacher is very keen to secure a candidate with a genuine passion and knowledge and somebody who shares the school’s high standards. This is a full-time class responsibility and is to begin from September 2024.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
