Year 6 class teaching assistant required to join the team at a Lichfield based primary school.
This position is full-time, long term. September 2024 start.
Role and responsibilities:
- To support year 6 students across the classroom in a fast-paced learning environment.
- Supporting with the preparation of lesson materials and ensuring the learning environment is safe and engaging.
- Leading small group intervention sessions providing extra support focusing on specific subject knowledge.
- Work closely with the class teacher to ensure the children are receiving the best possible educational support.
- Support with monitoring children’s progress.
- Where required support children on a 1:1 basis.
Are you a positive role model for children?
Ideal applicants will:
- Hold a Level 3 supporting teaching and learning qualification or equivalent.
- Have effective experience supporting children in an KS2 setting.
- Show good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
- Be committed to supporting children’s learning and development.
