Are you an experienced and dedicated Youth Worker with a passion for supporting young people who have experienced trauma? Do you have the skills to de-escalate challenging behaviours and provide essential pastoral care? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Youth Worker to join a team based in Liverpool and work closely with young people who require additional support to achieve their full potential. This is a full-time placement with the opportunity to move into a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to young people who have experienced trauma, helping them to navigate their challenges and build resilience.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviours, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.
  • Offer pastoral care, acting as a trusted mentor and advocate for the young people in your care.
  • Engage with students in creative and innovative ways to keep them motivated and on track with their education and personal development.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create and implement strategies that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Take initiative in identifying areas where students need additional support and develop appropriate interventions to address these needs.

Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience working with young people who have experienced trauma or display challenging behaviours.
  • Familiarity with de-escalation techniques and pastoral care practices.
  • Experience working in an Alternative Provision setting is highly desirable but not essential.
  • A strong commitment to helping young people achieve their best, regardless of the challenges they face.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using your own initiative to support students effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
