Teaching Personnel are searching for tutors to work on a part time basis with small groups and one to one. There is a high need for tutors who are able to support those from KS1- KS4 where work would be centred around Maths & English.

We are an approved provider and work closely with multiple Local Authorities. So many pupils are Looked After Children and may have Special Educational Needs, some pupils may have been excluded from mainstream education and do not currently have a school place.

Most tuition referrals are between 1 and 5 hours per day, and are between 2 and 5 days per week. The exact timings for tuition can be flexible, although it usually needs to be within school hours. You will be required to tutor both maths and English - most commonly we are asked for 2 hours per day (one hour for maths and one hour for English).

The ideal candidate:

  • Confident in dealing with challenging behaviour.
  • Passionate and committed to make a difference to vulnerable young students.
  • Able to work Face to Face, within the pupil’s home / residential care home
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Recently safeguarding trained (Teaching Personnel offer free safeguarding training when you register with us)
  • Teaching qualification/Tutor experience

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
