Raising attainment with vulnerable students, creating a pathway for them to leave school with a well-rounded set of skills that can enable them to assimilate into the work place and their community.

This role is aimed at a candidate with empathy and who will want to initiate restorative practices, this school has not had a permanent exclusion for over 12 months. This Learning Support Assistant role is based in a specialist Alternative Provision, focused on working with students have Complex Social Needs environment. Many of the students will have been through severe traumas and there will be a mix of good and non-existent relationships with their parents.

Restorative Practice, pragmatism and positive reinforcement will be key skills in this LSA role in Maidenhead. The role specialises in working with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and Wellness concerns. The students you are raising attainment with are between the ages of 9-16, all have EHCPs and will need to continue their education once they leave the school.

The LSA role will give you experience in safeguarding and assessment of what rehabilitation students require to be empowered back into mainstream education.
