Pay rate: £11.80 - £12.20 per hour (before AwR)

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs is essential

The School

The school is in the Bispham, Blackpool area and has good public transport links. This school has been graded "Good" by Ofsted, they have a great ethos, which includes pupils learning about diversity and equal opportunities, as well as promoting good behaviour and demonstrating positivity towards each other. The Head Teacher has stated that they are ideally seeking someone who is willing to get stuck in and become part of the staff team and build positive relationships with children and staff.

The Role

Previous experience working with children is essential. Must be energetic, enthusiastic and be able to work using your own initiative. Team Teach training is desirable but not essential. The role will be working with the child on a 1:1 basis but some group learning may also be required. Within this role, you will be expected to work alongside key school staff and existing behaviour plans to improve levels of pupil behaviour exhibited in class. Over time, you will build up a supportive working relationship with pupils so that you can act as a mentor and role model, ultimately improving overall attainment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
