The Head Teacher of a reputable primary school located in the Darwen area is on the look-out for a Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 team on a part-time basis. This is a long-term role working five mornings per week from 8:45-12:30 and the role will be based in a Year 5 class.

This role will be working alongside a child in KS2 working below age related expectations and the child has recently been diagnosed with ASD (Autism). The school have received additional funding to provide 1:1 support to the child and depending on the success of the support. There is a permanent opportunity for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a lovely primary school serving a pleasant catchment area. The Head Teacher and SENCo are supportive and the whole school is welcoming of new staff members. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCo and Class Teacher to identify gaps in learning and trigger points for the child.

This role is due to begin from Monday 10th May and is term-time only. Rates of pay are competitive for work of this nature and start at £10.20 per hour and paid on a weekly basis.
