Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Chorley

The Head Teacher of an Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school located on the outskirts of Chorley is looking to appoint a full-time HLTA to provide assistance across Key Stage 2. The working hours for the role are 08:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday, starting Monday 6th September. The role is a long-term, temporary position until Easter 2022.
Weekly pay: £381 - £450 (dependent upon experience)
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective behaviour management strategies. Prior experience in a similar role is essential. Working alongside the Class Teacher, you will be required to deliver daily intervention sessions in English and/or Maths. Accordingly, you must be confident in your teaching of the subjects and be aware of the expectations with regards the school's calculation policy. You will also be expected to record observations, assessments and progress and feedback to the Class Teacher.

- Level 5 qualification in a subject relevant to primary education (or above) or HLTA status
- Prior experience in Key Stage 2

- Confident in ability to teach English and Maths on a small group basis
